SUBLIMATION – PRINTING METHOD

Wpis blogowy

Sublimation printing is a printing technique that uses the phenomenon of sublimation.

In the first phase, the print (CMYK) is made with special ink on transfer paper, and then, in appropriately selected conditions of temperature and pressure, it is transferred onto a polyester substrate.

This method is most often used in the production of various types of sportswear, shirts, sweatshirts, leggings, also in the production of promotional items such as mugs, lanyards, caps, bags.

The sublimation process causes the dyes to permanently penetrate the structure of the substrate. Sublimation is an extremely durable technique of labelling clothing and promotional items, resistant to wear, washing and exposure to light. It allows to reproduce even the most crazy and creative designs in digital quality. Sublimation does not affect the properties of the material and does not change its aesthetic qualities.

Sublimation cannot be done on cotton materials. It can be made on materials of mixed composition, however, the more polyester in the composition, the print will be more intense in colours. The color of the substrate also has an influence on the final effect.
